Special Envoy Amos J Hochstein Travels to saudiarabia and Lebanon Media Note Office of the Spokesperson Washington, DC May 23, 2016 Special Envoy and Coordinator for International Energy Affairs Amos J Hochstein will travel to the Middle East May 22-May 26, 2016 to meet with saudi and Lebanese interlocutors. As volatility lingers in global energy markets, and as the United States emerges as an energy exporter while remaining a significant consumer, the Special Envoy seeks to strengthen our relationships with partners in the region and discuss strategies for addressing energy market realities. While insaudiarabia, Special Envoy Hochstein will travel to Jeddah and Dhahran to meet with government and energy officials to discuss energy collaboration and diversification. In Lebanon, the Special Envoy will deliver the keynote address at Lebanon’s Third Forum on Oil and Gas in Beirut; he will discuss global energy trends and the importance of Eastern Mediterranean energy developments in the world markets.
